New Product for Bach Trumpet
Also with our current success with our new metal valve guide for Schilke trumpets, stay tuned for our newer version of the metal valve guides for Bach trumpets. The Bach company has currently decided not to produce brass metal guides any more and current stock has been depleted. Stay tuned! late October1999 as we will reproduce these and bring back the same style valve guide used on the old classic New York Bachs.

Also October1999 will unveil our new variable weight bottom valve cap system for Bach and Schilke trumpets. These caps will allow more control and adjustment to personalize the response and timbre than ever possible before. Also we will unveil brass valve stems for Elkhart and a separate stem for New York Bachs to further fine tune sound characteristics.

New Product Available for Schilke Trumpets

The Brass Bow is pleased to announce a new product for Schilke Trumpets. Through many years of custom brass work, we have learned the benefits of using metal valve guides on many different makes of trumpets. Because of very distinct improvements in sound and response from even using just one metal guide rather than an entire set, we have made the effort to produce metal guides for Schilke trumpets. These guides are not available from Schilke Music Products. The guides we are producing will be the most accurately made valve guides made today and will be available to two different metals (brass and copper) . We have found in early testing that owners of Schilke P5-4 piccolo's and Schilke E3-L's found using one metal valve guide (brass) in the third valve on Eb's and fourth valve on the piccolo gave the player more body to their sound and improved the response. For Schilke Bb and C trumpets using a full set of valve guides whether it was copper or brass was favored. Currently we make the only copper valve guides available. Copper adds a broader and darker sound and smoother feel with response.

Currently single Schilke brass valve guide is $15.00 / copper is $18.00. Full sets for brass is $40.00 and $48.00 in copper and can be ordered by calling us at 847-253-7552. Hear and feel the difference!
